Aiken Regional Medical Centers and Caring for Carolina Encourage You to
Show Your Heart and Help Save Three Local Lives
web posted February 27, 2013
AIKEN – For the past 5 years Aiken
Regional Medical Centers and the Caring for Carolina partners, WJBF
News Channel 6 and Maxwell Law Firm, have hosted the Annual Show Your
Heart Blood Drive in Aiken. After 5 years, it’s become Aiken’s
Premier Blood Drive! In an effort to replenish our community’s
blood bank we encourage everyone to come out and “Show Your
Heart”.
The blood drive will be held on Thursday, February 28 at the Odell
Weeks Activity Center from 10 am – 7 pm. This year’s blood drive
is more than giving a donation, but in honor of American Heart Month,
we want you to be educated and have a healthy heart! ARMC is
offering FREE screenings throughout the day and lunch and dinner for
those that donate. Free goodies will be on hand throughout the
day from all partners.
National Heart Month is here and we want to remind the community that
keeping the heart healthy is very important. Not only does your
donation help save three local lives but it can have health benefits as
well. It’s the best donation you can give all year and it won’t
cost you a thing!
This year’s blood drive is sponsored by the Caring for Carolina
partners, Shepeard Community Blood Center, The City of Aiken Parks, and
Recreation and Tourism Department and The Mended Hearts.
