Five killed in Aiken County crash web posted June 9, 2009 AIKEN – Five people were killed in a three car crash Monday night according to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton. The crash happened at approximately 9:30 pm on New Holland Rd. in Aiken County approximately a mile north of Highway 302. The victims are unidentified at this time Coroner Carlton said Monday night. All the fatalities, four adults and one child, were in one vehicle. “The circumstances surrounding the crash are unknown at this time, however the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Aiken County Coroner's Office are actively investigating this horrible tragedy,” Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton said. The deaths bring the total killed on Aiken County roads to 18 this year. © Copyright 2009
