Trenton man arrested in Armed Robbery web posted June 22, 2009  AIKEN – A Trenton man has been arrested
and charged in connection to the April 15, 2009, armed robbery of the
Greg’s Gas Plus located at 1186 Edgefield Road in North Augusta. Rickey
Brunson, 52, of S.E. Diggs Road in Trenton, was taken into custody last
Thursday and has been charged with possession of a weapon during the
commissoin of a
violent crime and armed robbery, according to the Aiken County
Sheriff’s Office.Brunson was booked into custody at the Aiken County Detention Center where he was still being held on Friday. Calls to the Detention Center on Sunday to confirm Brunson’s current status went unanswered. Sheriff’s Investigators used witness accounts and video surveillance tapes in order to identify Brunson as the man police claim was responsible for the robbery.
