Renew to face charges in Aiken County web posted June 29, 2007 NORTH AUGUSTA – Myron Renew, 44, of Sandrock Way in Trenton, has been transferred to the Aiken County Detention Center to face charges with North Augusta Public Safety for alleged criminal sexual contact with a minor under the age of 11. Renew was arrested in Trenton on March 8 on charges of criminal sexual conduct and has been held since then on a $50,000 bond at the Edgefield County Detention Center. Mr. Renew’s ex-wife, and mother of the victim, filed the initial complaint with the North Augusta Public Safety department. The case was turned over to the Special Victims Unit with the Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office in February of 2007 and led to his arrest weeks later. Some of the alleged crimes occurred in the City limits of North Augusta officials said at the time. Officials at the Edgefield County Detention Center said Mr. Renew has not met his obligations for bond and has been transported to face charges in Aiken County. The nature of the charges against Mr. Renew in Aiken County were not able to be confirmed at press time. No court date for Mr. Renew was available but his case was not expected to be on the General Sessions Court Docket in Edgefield County until next year. A bond hearing for Mr. Renew was said to be scheduled for Friday in Aiken County for the charges by North Augusta Public Safety. For
