AIKEN – Mr. Frank Townsend, President of
Southern Bank & Trust, has announced the addition of three new

Mrs. Susan B.

her new position of Executive Vice President at Southern Bank &

City Executive for the Aiken/Edgefield Region of Carolina First Bank
where she had managed three branch locations and developed an extensive
commercial loan portfolio. Susan is married to Herbert Yarborough and
the couple has two daughters, Caroline and Anna. She lives in
Edgefield and is a member of Edgefield United Methodist Church.
Susan is the daughter of Frank and Norma Boatwright. Susan
graduated from Clemson University in Financial Management with honors.
Prior to that, Mrs. Yarborough was a Vice President at NationsBank in
Aiken, a Loan Officer for Citizens & Southern National Bank in
Aiken, a Training Officer for Farmers & Merchants Bank of Aiken,
and an Internal Auditor for Bankers Trust in Columbia, SC.
Mrs. Myra Carter

the past twenty years, Myra worked in numerous roles at Carolina First
Bank, and previously at Aiken County National Bank where her tenure
included service as Secretary to the President. For ten years prior to
that, she held positions at Farmers & Merchants Bank and Citizens
& Southern National Bank in Aiken.
Mrs. Kitty Chavis (Below), a new Customer Service Representative at
