Aiken Regional Medical Centers 16th annual Christmas at the Lake
program set for Thursday

AIKEN – The public is invited to join
Aiken Regional Medical Centers for a wonderful evening celebrating the
season. The 16th annual Christmas At The Lake program will be
held on Thursday, December 13, starting at 6:00 p.m. The event
will take place at the lighted Christmas tree next to the lake that is
directly in front of the hospital.
Scheduled performances include chorus group from area Aiken County
Schools. The winners of this year’s Christmas card coloring
contest will be announced. The contest was open to all third
grade elementary students in Aiken County. Entries were voted on
by the associates at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. The first
place winner will receive a $100 Savings Bond, a $50 Gift Certificate
to Wal-Mart and will be presented with their artwork matted and framed.
The winner’s school will receive a $500 donation and the winner’s art
class will receive a $100 donation. The runner up will receive a $50
Savings Bond and a $25 Gift Certificate to Wal-Mart and will be
presented with their artwork matted and framed.
Aiken Regional Medical Centers will also be conducting their annual
Aiken Salvation Army Christmas Toy Drive. Toys donated will be
given to needy children right here in Aiken County. Attendees who
bring a new, unwrapped toy to be donated to the drive will have their
name entered in a drawing for an 8-foot stocking filled with
toys. The drawing will be conducted by the Aiken Salvation Army
at the conclusion of the evening.
Special Christmas At The Lake – 2007 ornaments will be given out to the
first 300 families as well as Christmas coloring books and crayons for
the young children. There will be plenty of hot apple cider, hot
chocolate, Christmas cookies and lots of other great refreshments.
