Aiken Regional Medical Centers 16th annual Christmas at the Lake program set for Thursday

web posted December 12, 2007
AIKEN – The public is invited to join Aiken Regional Medical Centers for a wonderful evening celebrating the season.  The 16th annual Christmas At The Lake program will be held on Thursday, December 13, starting at 6:00 p.m.  The event will take place at the lighted Christmas tree next to the lake that is directly in front of the hospital.

Scheduled performances include chorus group from area Aiken County Schools.  The winners of this year’s Christmas card coloring contest will be announced.  The contest was open to all third grade elementary students in Aiken County.  Entries were voted on by the associates at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.  The first place winner will receive a $100 Savings Bond, a $50 Gift Certificate to Wal-Mart and will be presented with their artwork matted and framed. The winner’s school will receive a $500 donation and the winner’s art class will receive a $100 donation. The runner up will receive a $50 Savings Bond and a $25 Gift Certificate to Wal-Mart and will be presented with their artwork matted and framed.

Aiken Regional Medical Centers will also be conducting their annual Aiken Salvation Army Christmas Toy Drive.  Toys donated will be given to needy children right here in Aiken County.  Attendees who bring a new, unwrapped toy to be donated to the drive will have their name entered in a drawing for an 8-foot stocking filled with toys.  The drawing will be conducted by the Aiken Salvation Army at the conclusion of the evening.

Special Christmas At The Lake – 2007 ornaments will be given out to the first 300 families as well as Christmas coloring books and crayons for the young children.  There will be plenty of hot apple cider, hot chocolate, Christmas cookies and lots of other great refreshments.

There is no charge to attend the program.  If you would like more information about Christmas At The Lake, please call Aiken Regional Medical Centers at (803) 641-5928 or 1-800-641-2771.
