and said he

the next day.
Instead, he was

– A single car
crash on Bland
Baptist Road
ended with the
driver being
ejected and his
passenger
suffering
numerous
injuries after
the driver lost
control of the
Chevy
Trailblazer as
he turned onto
Bland Baptist
Road off of
Highway 23. The
SUV flipped at
least twice
ejecting the
driver while the
female passenger
remained inside
the vehicle.

scene the man
was found
unconscious and
non-responsive

Correction
Institution in

notified
Edgefield Police
that they were
in possession of
three people
from Florida
that were found
to be in
possession of
balloons filled
with marijuana
when they came
to visit an
inmate Friday
afternoon.
During a search
guards found 38
small balloons
wrapped with
black tape with
a total of 53.6
grams (nearly 2
ounces) of
marijuana

were injured in
a single car
crash on Highway
25 north around
2 pm Monday with
an Edgefield
County Sheriff's
Deputy
witnessing the
crash. According
to information
provided at the
scene, the
driver of a
Nissan Versa was
traveling
northbound and
as he rounded a
curve the just
drove straight
off the roadway
crossing the
southbound lane,
going down a
deep embankment,
flipped at least
twice, struck a
tree and then
came to rest

hit and run
collision with a
Dixie LP truck
on Key Road fled
the scene and
was spotted a
short time later

intersection of

and Briggs Road.
When the
Sheriff's Deputy
attempted a
traffic stop the
driver stopped
and fled on
foot, resulting
in a foot chase.
