A liberal Mecca of socialism/fascism and a State-run society of "fairness" and "equality", that in reality is neither fair nor equitable. However, the "low-information voter" sucks up the carefully crafted sound bites that fill the evening news like a biscuit does gravy.

Religion: Psalm 1 "We Ought Not Be Here"
By Pastor Philip Howle
web posted January 22, 2013
RELIGION – “We ought not be in this situation, we ought not be in this situation!!!” These were the words were of the offensive coordinator of the 1998 Greenwood High School football team. We were playing in the 2nd round of the playoffs and down by six points with less than 30 seconds to go in the game. We were a much better team, but we had failed to execute and now the game was winding down and were on the way to a loss. Our offensive coordinator called our last time out and gave us the play. It was the last chance, it came down to this. Thankfully the long pass was completed and we won the game, barely. We should have beaten that team like a drum, but we barely squeaked by. The game could have easily gone the other way.

Religion: Psalm 23 Part 11 - Conclusion
By Pastor Philip Howle
web posted January 17, 2013
RELIGION – Knowing when to close something out is important. Last week we had some new friends over for dinner. I wanted to try a new stuffed Pork Loin recipe. Man, it was a fancy dish and looked great going in the oven. I knew to cook the pork till an internal temp of 160. I probed the huge loin with the thermometer and it read 160 all around so I took it out. However, I did not, and could not; probe the bottom of the meat, where it was 120. So I went to cut my gorgeous stuffed loin, and it was grossly undercooked. So back in the oven it went, with diner being nearly an hour late, and Rebecca and I being pretty embarrassed!
