The Democrats and Obama: An outbreak of lawlessness
By Charles Krauthammer
web posted November 30, 2013

For all the gnashing of teeth over the lack of comity and civility in Washington, the real problem is not etiquette but the breakdown of political norms, legislative and constitutional. Such as the one just spectacularly blown up in the Senate. To get three judges onto a coveted circuit court, frustrated Democrats abolished the filibuster for executive appointments and (non-Supreme Court) judicial nominations.

WASHINGTON — Hunter Alford is the happy kid next door with a big grin who idolizes country music star Blake Shelton. His parents call him a “wild, fun loving, zombie-killing boy who loves the military and police.” ...Americans were told the health-care law was designed to help children just like Hunter, born with a deadly pre-existing condition and little means to pay for expensive treatments. The Affordable Care Act was not supposed to take away the insurance these most-vulnerable children already had and leave them utterly defenseless against a life-threatening disease.

But, I did and frankly I don’t care that it picked up that misspelled word in the first sentence. Some of you are wondering which word was misspelled, there are only four think hard. Well, I have been saying flustrated for a long time in my sermons, and people have evidently been making fun of me behind my back and now to my face over my blending of the words flustered and frustrated. I claimed to have the poetic license to do so, but they said I never had a poetic license and if I did it would now be revoked.

However, I am glad for my wife’s sake that we have not. She only has one kryptonite in the world, spiders. Go ahead and try to be cute and put a grand daddy long leg on her, see what happens. But before we explore that lets look at a few events that happened in the courtroom. Starting with the some of evidence the prosecution was denied presenting the jury:

I had discussed the weather, football, and politics; a little how church had been going and my favorite subject my two sons. But I had said nothing of any substance to anyone. I had not prayed with anyone and I had not tried to have any in depth conversations with a single person that God had placed in my path. Those people were no better for having encountered me.
