Becky met her own death in very violent manner when murdered by a family member. Is her soul at rest or does she still haunt the places that were important to her?

Edgefield Dixie Youth Fund Raiser/Skills Competition

EDGEFIELD – Edgefield Dixie Youth will celebrate its Fall Festival on November 4th at their complex located at 225 Evans Street, 12 Noon - 3:00 pm. Children ages 9-12 will be able to compete in several baseball skills related competitions, including a home run derby/ hitting competition, infield and outfield games, base running and a pitching contest. Cost of registration is $10 per child.

                                                          Region ChampsSPORTS – Strom Thurmond Lady Rebels Varsity Volleyball team continued their success on Saturday at the Augusta Prep Invitational bringing home the Silver Bracket Championship!  The Lady Rebels took wins over host Augusta Prep (25-19 25-18), Curtis Baptist (25-19, 25-21), Evans (25-16, 25-17) and Augusta Prep again in the Silver Bracket Invitational (25-6,25-7).   The Ladies’ only loss was to Grovetown (22-25,22-25).

                                                          JohnstonJOHNSTON – Friday, September 8, was a fun filled day for Johnston Elementary 1st graders.  Following Grits with Grands, 40 plus students accompanied by their teachers, Sarah Dampier, Stephanie Fletcher, and Erin Hattman, and chaperone, Kay Campbell toured several of Johnston’s points of interest.  This walking tour followed classroom lessons about “community,” its leaders, and the goods and services a community provides.
