Break-in results in almost $5,000 in stolen property web posted June 27, 2009 BETTIS ACADEMY – A Bettis Academy man arrived home Thursday morning to discover he had been the victim of a break-in and almost $5,000 worth of property was missing. The man said he spent the night at a friend’s house in North Augusta and discovered the theft when he arrived at the Bettis Academy Extension home around 7 am. Among the property reported stolen were two Dell laptop computers, Pioneer and JVC CD players, cash, 24” rims, and other property which totaled $4625 in estimated value, according to incident reports. The man is in the process of retrieving serial numbers for Sheriff’s Investigators. Reports did not indicate a point of entry into the home. © Copyright 2009
