 Teen with gun reported, shot fired web posted August 23, 2006 BETTIS ACADEMY – Monday night a Trenton man notified the Sheriff’s Office of a teen with a gun approaching him on Sandy Springs Road. The man told the responding deputy that when he drove away from the teen he heard a shot being fired. According to police reports, the man told the deputy that as he drove along Sandy Springs Road just after 8 p.m Monday night he was approached by a black male between the age of 15 and 17. The man was able to see the teen holding a chrome colored pistol. As he sped away from the teen, he heard at least one shot fired. The car was not struck by the round and it is believed the teen just fired a shot in the air. Patrols were continued in the area of Sandy Springs Road and Mount Zion Road but deputies were unable to locate the subject. For
