  Bettis Academy home reports break-in web posted December 21, 2006 BETTIS ACADEMY – A Bettis Academy resident called the Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office to report a break-in at a home on the 20 block of Academy Estates Drive Tuesday afternoon. The man said when he arrived home just before 4pm he found his back door had been pried open. Once inside the perpetrator went through checkbooks and jewelry but nothing appeared to be missing. A neighbor told police two young males in red shirts were walking in the area prior to the incident. The victim was advised to notify the Sheriff’s Office if anything was discovered missing at a later date. For
