Herlong makes it official Press release web posted March 22, 2006 Former Associate Probate Judge Joan Herlong has officially entered the race for Edgefield County Probate Judge. She presented Mr. Sam Crouch Jr., Edgefield County Democratic Party Official, with the filing fee and necessary forms on Tuesday, March 21, 2006. Herlong began her career with the Edgefield County Probate Court in 1992. Soon after, in 1993, she was appointed Deputy Probate Judge. In 1999, she was elevated to Associate Probate Judge, a position in which she served until February of 2006. Joan has a total of 14 years of experience with the Edgefield County Probate Court.
