Third fire in two days leads to investigation web posted July 24, 2007 As firefighters began battling the blaze it was discovered that the house had been vacant for over six months. A nearby resident confirmed that no one had been in the home at least that long and that the windows, he said, had been “boarded up”. Residents near the first two fires on Sunday have already voiced concerns that the string of fires may be connected. Now with a third fire in two days, fire officials are also beginning to question the source of the fires. It is unconfirmed at this time that there was no power to the home, but one nearby resident said he has seen no lights on at the home in months. A Sheriff’s Investigator arrived on the scene just after midnight and began the investigation. Fire officials were unavailable for comment on the scene. Firemen and at least one fire commissioner on the scene expressed concerns that the source of the fire was questionable. The most recent fire was located just six tenths of a mile from the County Line Fire Department Station number one at Rainbow Falls Road. The two previous fires were just yards away from County Line Station number two. At the present time the most recent fire is being considered "suspicious" in nature.
