 EdgefieldDaily.com prepares for 6th Anniversary web posted February 22, 2010 COLUMN – It is hard to believe six years have flown by since EdgefieldDaily.com was launched, but it has. What started out as a simple internet news service has now grown to be the most widely read news publication in Edgefield County and it is all due to our readers, contributing columnists and reporters, advertisers, and a little hard work and perseverance. On behalf of everyone that makes EdgefieldDaily.com possible each day let me say thank you for another record breaking year. By the time our 6th anniversary on March 1 rolls around we will have accumulated 26.3 million hits from an average of over 22,000 unique readers a month visiting over 1.1 million times and reading 3 million pages or stories in the past 12 months. Nearly three times the readership of the local papers combined. There are many things I believe separated EdgefieldDaily.com from the other media outlets in Edgefield County, the first being our founding motto: “We will never report what never happens nor quote what is never said, everything else is fair game.” EdgefieldDaily.com remains unmatched in investigative reporting, breaking coverage of major news events, and provides the most complete information available on local governmental activity including documentation and other resources, not to mention our exclusive live time election results for Edgefield County that can be found nowhere else in the CSRA.
