Democrats plunge US into Socialism in 219-212 healthcare takeover vote:
dozens of Democrats join Republicans opposing bill
A Column by the Editor
web
posted March 22, 2010
COLUMN – No matter how you slice the
results, over 2/3 of Americans oppose the bill approved by the liberal
Democrats in the US House Sunday night. When America showed its
repudiation of Obama’s Marxist agenda by throwing out three Democrat
“safe states” governors and moreover the election of Sen. Scott Brown
to the “Liberal Lion” Sen, Ted Kennedy’s former seat, Obama said he
heard the people. Jobs is what they wanted him to concentrate on. So,
as a typical dictator, Obama and his liberal left-wing party leaders
returned their focus on the healthcare takeover by the federal
government. The people be dammed.
Nearly one-third of all practicing physicians may leave the medical
profession if President Obama signs current versions of health-care
reform legislation into law, according to a survey
published in the latest issue of the New England Journal of Medicine.
If a public option were included in the legislation, as several liberal
Senators have indicated they would like, the number would jump to 45.7
percent.
Furthermore, adding 16 million people to the Medicaid rolls will
bankrupt states who are suffering from a record drop in revenues with
the cost “saved” by the Federal government passed on to the individual
states and their taxpayers.
Cal Thomas of FOXNews.com
reported, “President Obama again claimed in Saturday remarks to the
House Democratic caucus that the bill will reduce the deficit by $1.3
trillion. He must know that isn’t true because the money “saved” from
Medicare cuts will go to pay for new spending. Only in Washington can
you save money and spend money at the same time.
Addressing critics of the bill, President Obama said no one is “going
to pull the plug on grandma.” They won’t have to. Grandma will be
denied treatment because she will be too much of a financial burden on
government. It’s called rationing. Grandma had better start working
out, eating lots of oatmeal and hope she doesn’t get sick. Why do you
think the president kept mentioning sick children? It’s because
children are the ones who will get the most – and best – treatment.
Rahm Emanuel’s brother, Ezekiel, has said government has a right to
decide how many health care dollars you are worth. And if children with
a lifelong taxpaying potential are worth more than grandma who is
taking more from the tax pot than she is contributing, that’s too bad
for grandma.”
“Total U.S. debt has soared to an all-time high of 370 percent of
yearly economic output. That far exceeds its peak of 300 percent during
the Great Depression. Jobs will be lost because of this bill. Already,
Caterpiller Company is laying-off workers because it estimates the
health care bill will cost the company $100 million,” Thomas said.
House Speaker Pelosi and Pres. Obama place their fingers in their ears
proclaiming the childish, “La la la la la, I can’t hear you.”
Hearing the American public in November will be a far different story.
And now that the bill has been passed, 37 states are poised to file
lawsuits to challenge the Constitutionality of the bill with the US
Supreme Court that supporters contend will end with the takeover being
ruled unconstitutional, including the state of South Carolina.
The passage of the bill will increase unemployment according
to recent studies by the Heritage group.
“The bill also places new taxes on “the rich”—or, in more realistic
terms, small businesses and those who create jobs. CDA’s dynamic
analysis of the bill shows that an average 690,000 jobs per year would
be lost due to the effects described.
Americans have recently voiced that Congress’ top legislative priority
should be restoring jobs and the economy. Instead, congressional
leaders have focused their agenda on passing the Senate health care
bill, which would have the opposite effect of killing jobs growth,
suppressing economic growth, and adding to the nation’s already
unsustainable levels of federal spending.”
As a further affront to the American people screaming for Pres. Obama
to focus on jobs, his next agenda process is to give amnesty to tens of
millions of illegal aliens (who will now be covered under their
socialist medical takeover) to secure votes for them in the fall
elections and certainly in the 2012 election of Obama’s aspects for a
second term.
Jobs for working Americans has obviously taken not a back seat on the
bus, but has been left ignored at the bus stop.
Working Americans should just shut up and sit down and pay the bill as
the Democrats
plunge our nation into bankruptcy to achieve their socialistic
European-style of government that is already failing across the globe.
However, American liberals (AKA: Socialists/Marxists) like Obama,
Pelosi, and Reid believe the only reason it fails everywhere else is
that other liberals are not as smart as they are.
America is at an impasse it cannot avoid. Will the people and the
Supreme Court uphold the Constitution or allow these radical left-wing
fanatics to take over our nation.
Only time will tell.
Thomas Jefferson is famous for saying that a government powerful enough
to give you everything you want is powerful enough to take everything
you have.
We have just witnessed that taking place in Washington DC by the
far-left radicals that control our congress.
With one vote they have increased the number of Americans that will be
subservient to the federal government for their existence by a wide
majority while placing the tax burden upon those who work for a living.
Obama
has fulfilled his radical agenda towards a complete takeover of the
healthcare system. In
2007 he said, “It is my belief that not just politically but
economically it is better for us to start getting a system in place, a
universal healthcare system, signed into law by the end of my first
term as president and build off that system to make it more rational
... By the way, Canada did not start off immediately with a
single-payer system, they had a similar transition step ...
Transitioning a system is a very difficult and costly and lengthy
enterprise. It's not like you can turn on a switch and go from one
system to another ... But I don't think that we are going to be able to
eliminate employer coverage immediately, there's going to be
potentially some transition process ..."
Make no mistake, Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid know, if they
control your health - they control you.
