Enough is enough, deport the illegal aliens now!

COLUMN – Just so my liberal friends do not misunderstand me, I will state for the record I am not racist. I say that because I have just about had more than enough of the illegal aliens in our nation, state, and county and liberals will label any discussion on illegal aliens as racist. When all else fails, they will call you a Nazi.

By now, everyone has heard the national media just swoon over the hundreds of thousands protesting legislation that would deport illegal aliens from our borders. In Los Angeles, it was a sea of people waving Mexican flags. That is right, Mexican flags, not American flags. They, the protesters (ie: illegal aliens), want to be allowed unfettered access to our country and social programs.

The Democratic National Committee wants the same thing; of course, they hope the illegals will vote Democrat in elections. Allowing free access to our country is the first step to wanting people from other countries voting in our elections. Even worse, Republicans have joined them. Why don’t we just open elections up to France, Iran, China, Russia, and even Cuba? After all, these people know what is best for America and have America’s best interest at heart, right?

Every week I pull the bookings for the Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office and every week there are one or two illegal aliens that have been caught driving with no license, no insurance, no registration, and more often than not, DUI. They are easy to spot with the Hispanic names. They do not speak English nor pay no taxes. The last time I ran the numbers over 65% of all such cases were illegal aliens while they make up less than 2% of our county population.

With more than 40 million Hispanics in our country and over 12 to 14 million being here illegally, we are watching the demise of our sovereignty and the Democrats are in the driver’s seat driving the bus off the cliff.

Enough is enough. I personally support legislation that would make being an illegal alien in our country a felony. This would allow our Sheriff to arrest, and hold for deportation, illegals when they are arrested for other misdemeanor crimes.

I cannot stand to read other media outlets calling the criminals “undocumented workers” or “undocumented immigrants”. Baloney, they are criminals and that is all there is to it.

Look at what the media reports. Norman Martinez said, "They are picking on the weakest link in society, which has built this country." Really? I thought Americans built this country long before the last ten years. Jorge Ruiz said after performing at a Dallas rally that drew 1,500. "We are the motor of this nation, but people don't see us. Blacks and whites, they had their revolution. They had their Martin Luther King. Now it is time for us."

Mr. Ruiz would do well to spend a little time in an American History class, Dr. King fought for civil rights of American citizens, not criminals.

Call, write, e-mail, and fax your legislators and demand they protect our borders and remove the criminals from within them.
