Edgefield Daily Opinions Make the Talk Show Rounds Across the State

A Column by the Editor
web posted September 26, 2013

COLUMN Edgefield Daily was featured on talk radio stations and blogs across the state, in addition to unknown shares of web postings Wednesday of two Editor's Columns on Circuit Court Judge Circuit Judge Alison Renee Lee published in 2008. Why the uproar? Because President Barack Obama has nominated Judge "Easy" Lee to be a federal judge in spite of, or most probably because of, her far left political decisions made while wearing the robe of justice.

Truth be know, Edgefield Daily was not the only media outlet used as The State was also cited recounting her failures as a judge which led to two deaths by violent criminals she let out on reduced bonds this year.

However, it was the scathing recount of her first and only trip to General Sessions Court in Edgefield County by Edgefield Daily that received the most play, according to emails and calls received Wednesday afternoon and evening from across the state. Many overlooked her first day on the bench.

Columbia's WVOC 100.1's Jonathan & Kelly Show gave a full review of Judge Lee's appointment on the air Wednesday, including a posting on the stations website linking to and quoting from Edgefield Daily and several mentions on the air, including our coined name of Judge "Easy" Lee.

The McClatchy Washington Bureau pointed out in a report Wednesday that Senators Lindsey Graham and Tim Scott have raised serious questions about Judge Lee's decisions over the years while on the bench. Sen. Graham sits on the Judiciary Committee and both South Carolina Senators must approve of the appointment before the committee can pass the nomination on to the full Senate.

After sitting in the courtroom, and behind the scenes in between for an entire week of General Sessions Court with her on the bench, Judge Lee has no business sitting as a judge distributing "social justice" and not real justice in any court in this state, much less as a Federal Judge.

She should have to house the violent criminals she releases, some who then go on to kill after attempted murder charges were excused, in her own home. That, in my opinion, would be justice. But, like Obama, Liberal "Social Justice" believers want to inflict the pain back upon the people, not themselves. Now you know why Democrats want to let convicted felons vote from jail.

Contact Sens. Graham and Scott and oppose Judge Lee's appointment.
