 Chocolate Skeleton Cookies web posted October 1, 2006 Ingredients: 1 cup butter, softened 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 1 tsp. vanilla extract 2-3/4 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 cup baking cocoa 1 tsp. baking soda 1-1/2 cups confectioners sugar 2 tbsp. milk In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars. Beat in egg and vanilla. In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa and baking soda. Gradually add to creamed mixture. Cover and refrigerate for one to two hours or until easy to handle. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to 1/8 inch thickness. Cut out figures with a 3-inch gingerbread man cookie cutter. Place on greased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 7 to 8 mins. or until set. Cool for 1 min. before removing from pans to wire rack to cool completely. In a small bowl, combine confectioners sugar and milk until smooth. Cut a small hole in the corner of a resealable plastic baggie. Fill with icing. Pipe skeleton bones onto cookies. Yields 3 dozen. For
