Spiderweb Brownies

web posted October 1, 2006

Ingredients:

4 squares, (1 oz. each) unsweetened chocolate
3/4 cup butter
2 cups sugar
3 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
1 jar (7 ozs.) marshmallow crem
1 square (1 oz.) semisweet chocolate

In a saucepan, over low heat, stir unsweetened chocolate and butter util chocolate is melted. Remove from heat. Stir in sugar. Cool for 10 mins. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour and nuts. Pour into a greased, foil-lined, 13x9x2 baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 mins. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Do not overbake! Immediately drop marshmallow cream, by spoonfuls, over hot brownies. Spread evenly and cool on wire rack. Lift full cake out of pan. Discard foil. Place on serving tray. For web decoration, melt semisweet chocolate and pour into a small resealable plastic baggie. Cut a tiny hole in one corner of the baggie. Drizzle chocolate over cream in a spiderweb design. Yields 2 dozen.
