Hamburger & Sour Cream Casserole

Ingredients:

2 lbs. lean ground beef
2 tbsp. butter, melted
15 oz. can tomato sauce
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tsp. sugar
1tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
8-oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
8-oz. carton sour cream
3/4 cup thinly sliced green onion
3 cups cooked fine egg noodles
2 cups (8-oz.) shredded cheddar cheese
1/8 tsp. paprika

Cook beef in melted butter in a lrg. skillet over med. heat until meat is browned, stirring to crumble meat. Drain well. Add tomato sauce and next four ingredients and stir well. Bring to a boil and cover. Reduce heat and simmer 20 mins.stirring occasionally. Pour meat mixture into a buttered 13X9 baking dish and set aside. Beat cream cheese and sour cream at low speed with an electric mixer until smooth. Add green onions, stirring gently to combine. Spread cheese mixture evenly over meat mixture. Top with cooked noodles. Sprinkle cheddar cheese over casserole. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 mins. or until hot and bubbly. Serves 4 to 6.
