Oven baked Rump Roast web posted July 1, 2006 Ingredients: 3-5 lb. beef rump roast 1can (6 ozs.) vegetable juice cocktail 1/2 cup water 2 tbsp. packed brown sugar 1-1/2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/4 tsp. salt & pepper 2 cups carrots; cut into 1 inch lengths 1 cup celery; cut into 1 inch lengths 1 med. onion; cut into eighths 2 med. potatoes; cut into eighths 1 nylon cooking bag Heat oven to 350. Place roast into nylon cooking bag. Place bag in a 13x9 inch baking dish. Set aside. In a 2-cup measure combine vegetable juice,cocktail sauce, water, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Pour over roast. Add vegetables to bag. Secure bag with nylon tie or string. Estimate total cooking time at 25 to 30 mins. per pound. Bake until beef is tender. Reserve drippings for gravy. Serves 6-8. For
