  Calliham remodel cost estimates still not released web posted September 25, 2009 COUNTY – EdgefieldDaily.com has continued our pursuit of the release of public information surrounding the proposals presented to the Edgefield County Council for the remodeling of the Calliham property and the new construction of a new office building on Railroad Avenue to no avail. Interim County Administrator Barbara Stark asked that she be given an additional day before releasing the work product produced and voted on by the Edgefield County Council earlier this year. Estimations on the remodeling of the Calliham property have been placed at between $1.5 and $1.7 million dollars. A figure widely refuted by Chairman Kneece and other members of the county council. However, on the announcement of the figures for the project being delivered, Chairman Kneece stated the costs were not what he expected. Those figures, as requested, have yet to be released although they are covered under the Freedom of Information Act and have been requested in person by EdgefielDaily.com and should have been presented when requested. If the documentation is not provided on Friday, EdgefieldDaily.com will no choice other than to file legal action to have the information released.
