  Sleet - snow causes numerous wrecks Thursday morning web posted February 2, 2007  COUNTY – As the
temperatures dropped and the sleet and snow came down
Deputies were busy working numerous wrecks across the county. Sleet and
snow began to accumulate on roads in the northern part of the county
making driving conditions hazardous. One of the earlier wrecks of the
morning occurred on Highway 25 when the driver of a Ford F150 pickup
left the roadway and overturned.The 16 year old driver was extricated from the truck and taken to MCG for treatment of his injuries. It was later discovered the teen’s drivers license was under suspension. While on the scene a deputy was approached by the owner of the truck claiming it had been stolen in Johnston.  Investigators have
taken over the theft investigation and the South
Carolina Highway Patrol is handling the charges relating to the crash.
The teen was not identified due to his age.For
