Notice Of A Public Hearing Prior To Final Action By The County Council Of Edgefield County To Enter Into An Ordinance

NOTICE – Notice is hereby given by the County Council of Edgefield County (the “County Council”) that a public hearing for the below-referenced Ordinance will be held at the Council Chambers of the County Council, 225 Jeter Street, Edgefield, SC 29824, at 6:00 p.m. on March 4, 2014 in conjunction with a regularly scheduled meeting of the County Council. 

Such Ordinance is titled as follows: “An Ordinance authorizing Edgefield County Hospital to borrow money to be used as an emergency cash reserve during the implementation and attestation of Electronic Health Records; Requiring the hospital to do all things necessary to obtain reimbursement from Medicare and to repay the loan, in full, upon reimbursement from Medicare; And other matters relating thereto.”

This Ordinance will allow the Edgefield County Hospital to obtain a loan to be used as emergency funds during the implementation and attestation of Electronic Health Records, if passed.

Subject to the normal rules of County Council regarding appearances, members of the public are invited to attend and make comment concerning the proposed Ordinance.
