  Edgefield Daily Enters 9th Year of Publication web posted March 4, 2013 COUNTY – Edgefield Daily has closed out our 8th year of daily news publication to Edgefield County and enters our 9th year on Monday. Starting out with less than 800 readers in March of 2005, Edgefield Daily now serves over 35,000 visitors each month. "We never anticipated Edgefield Daily growing to be the informational and news force it has become over the years," founder Roy Blackwell said. "We originally targeted reaching between 3,000 and 3,500 readers. We surpassed that goal in the first year and are teetering on breaking the 40,000 readers mark so far this year." "These numbers also help our advertisers", Blackwell said. "Their ads appear on every page viewed, giving them unmatched exposure to the reading public in Edgefield County and the surrounding counties. On behalf of Edgefield Daily, our writers, reporters, contributors, and our advertisers we thank our readers for making 2012 a record setting year. We look forward to another exciting year in 2013."
