 Joint Assessment Teams to Survey Damage in Edgefield County today web posted March 21, 2008 COUNTY – Joint assessment teams from the South Carolina Emergency Management Agency, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and local government representatives will be surveying damage caused by this past weekend’s storms in Edgefield County today. The joint teams from SCEMD, FEMA, and local jurisdictions affected will be surveying damage in order to assess the area to see if federal aid might be available to offset the cost of additional manpower used during the tornados. Depending on the situation, some homeowners could qualify for low-interest loans if they are made available. EdgefieldDaily.com will have more on the assessment on Saturday. ©
