  Ashcraft to hold series of Town Hall Meetings this month web posted May 12, 2010 COUNTY – District 2 County Councilman Rodney Ashcraft will be holding a series of Town Hall Meetings this month to hear the concerns of citizens. The first meeting will be held at the Merriwether Middle School on Murrah Road on Thursday, May 20 at 6:30 pm. Councilwoman Genia Blackwell will be in attendance at the meeting so that she may talk with district 5 citizens as well. A second meeting will be held at the Colliers Community Center on Martintown Road on Tuesday, May 25th beginning at 6:30 pm. The last meeting will be at the County Council Chambers in Edgefield on Thursday the 27th of May at 6:30 pm. Edgefield County Councilman Ashcraft will be taking questions from citizens on county issues and welcomes all citizens to participate. County Councilman Ashcraft and Merriwether Councilwoman Genia Blackwell are the only county council members to hold repetitive meetings with voters over the last two years in office to gather input from constituents on county issues. © Copyright 2010
