Burglary reports continue over the weekend

web posted June 1, 2009
COUNTY – At least two more burglaries were reported over the weekend with one taking place on the 700 block of Edisto Street in Johnston and a second on Lovers Lane off Macedonia Road in the southern portion of the county that has been plagued with burglaries over the past two months.

No details were available on Sunday other than the initial reports. A homeowner called Johnston Police to report leaving the home on Edisto Street around 9:30 am to return a short time later and finding the back door kicked open. It is unknown what was taken from the home, if anything.

The Sheriff’s Office received a call reporting a burglary at a Lovers Lane property where a shop located there was broken into and a 4-wheeler and several tires were stolen, Sheriff’s Investigators were called to process the scene for evidence. A final list of items stolen was not available Sunday.

A full report of all incidents over the weekend will be available Tuesday.
