Two homes report break-in's Wednesday

web posted June 16, 2006

COUNTY – Two break-ins were reported to police on Wednesday, one in Johnston, and the other in Trenton. A resident on Pacers Creek reported that someone kicked in his front door sometime over the last week and stole items from the home.

According to the owner, a love seat and a half sheet of sheetrock was taken in the crime. Police were unable to obtain any footprints or tracks due to the rain. There were no suspects listed in reports.

An hour earlier a Johnston woman reported someone had broken into her home located on the 200 block of Lanier Road. According to her statement to police, two TV’s and a radio/cd player were taken in the theft. The woman stated she was moving from the residence and everything was packed up for the move.

Entry to the home was made through the front door. The woman gave police a list of three suspects that may be responsible for the crime.

There was no dollar amounts listed for the items taken in the two thefts
