Veteran angered over response from Sen. Graham on imigration

web posted June 28, 2007
COUNTY – Local residents, talk radio, and the national attention has peaked again as the US Senate passed a cloture vote on the unpopular “immigration bill” this week. South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham has taken center stage in national coverage along side of liberal Democratic Senator Ted Kennedy, who also helped craft the bill the President himself called “amnesty”. Sen. Graham, a Republican, has found himself at odds with over 80% of South Carolinians and the nation. One local resident wrote Sen. Graham and was astounded at the “cookie cutter” response he received. “This is laughable,” he said.

“Mr. “Smith” (who did not want to be identified by name), said as a veteran and citizen of South Carolina he wrote Sen. Graham a letter opposing the immigration bill and expected a letter in return, “what I got was this long e-mail with all these links,” he said. “He (Sen. Graham) doesn’t tell you about all the bad parts of (the bill)”.

A copy of the e-mail was sent to EdgefieldDaily.com and confirmed as coming from Sen. Grahams Office so it is being published in its entirety here. Sen. Graham's Office did not return a phone call for comment Wednesday afternoon.

Readers are free to make their own judgments regarding the content of the reply.
