Burglars Steal TV's, Guns, Hunting Equipment

COUNTY Edgefield County Sheriff's Investigators were called to the scene of a burglary on Double Creek Road Saturday afternoon. When the owner arrived he discover a kitchen window busted out and several items missing. Investigators were able to retrieve fingerprints while processing the scene for evidence.

Once the burglars gained access to the home they stole a 47" Vizio flat screen TV from the living room. They then entered the owner's bedroom and stole a 22" Vizio TV, several guns and other hunting equipment with a total value just under $4,000.

The stolen guns were a .270 caliber rifle with a black stock and a Wild Turkey Federation emblem, a 12 gauge semi-automatic shotgun with a wooden stock and fiber optic sight, a 17 Mack ll Savage with black stock and Barsca scope and a unspecified caliber muzzle loader with a black stock.

Also reported stolen were two Moultrie game cameras, a Bowteck compound bow in a green plastic case, a Summit climbing stand, Bushnell range finder (cammo pattern), several "broadheads" and arrows as well as a Stihl weedeater.

Deputies canvassed the nearby homes and found no other break-ins or suspicious persons.

The case is currently under investigation.
