Win Up to $100 for Dumbest Thing to Say to a Police Officer

web posted July 21, 2014

COUNTY Edgefield Daily is currently taking entries for a contest to find the Top Ten Dumbest Things to Say to a Police Officer that will be published next month. One-liner's or short responses between an officer and a civilian are best suited, although all entries will be reviewed. Entries will be later placed in a poll to be voted on by readers with the #1 entry winning $100 and second and third place winning $50 and $25 respectively. Examples and rules below.

Members of law enforcement are encouraged to send in things they have encountered or heard from other officers. Winners can keep their names confidential if desired.

Examples:
Officer: Is that your bag of dope? Person: No, mine's much bigger.

Officer: Driver's license, registration and insurance please. Person: No problem, can you hold my beer while I get it?

All entries must be made via email, no exceptions. Winners will be notified via the email containing the entry. You may send multiple entries in a single email. We prefer original content and not items taken from lists published elsewhere. The deadline for entry is undetermined and will be based on when at least 30 entries have been received.

Good luck!
