 Fall recreation leagues announce registration sign-ups web posted August 11, 2009 COUNTY – The fall county recreation leagues will be accepting registrations for football and cheerleading this weekend and will run through the end of the month. Recreation Director Nick Wates said sign-ups would be held at various locations across the county each Saturday from 10 am until noon. Soccer registrations will take place the last two weekends of August. Football and Cheerleading registrations will be taken at the following locations: Merriwether Fire Department #1 (on Martintown Rd across from Big Stevens Church) Fairway Food Center in Edgefield Edgefield County Park at Bettis Academy National Guard Armory in Johnston The registration fee is $60 per child for ages are 6 to 12. (Cutoff for birth date is September 1) Soccer registrations will be held from 10 am to noon on August 22nd and 29th at the Soccer Complex in Edgefield. The registration fee is $40 per child ages 4 to 14 years.
