 web posted September 12, 2007 COUNTY – Do you consider yourself to be a “Redneck” and plan to be married soon? Well, Country Music Television (CMT) has an offer for you. EdgefieldDaily.com received a faxed request for citizens of Edgefield County that are planning their wedding and want to be on a television show called “My Big Redneck Wedding”. The catch? You have to have your wedding between the months of September and December of 2007 and be a Redneck. We have no idea why Edgefield County was selected as one of the areas for a casting call. The press release from Pink Sneaker Productions, in association with CMT, states: CMT is currently casting for a new reality series “My Big Redneck Wedding”. This show will document the planning and preparation it takes to pull off a truly fun, down to earth, rootin’ tootin’ redneck nuptial. From denim wedding dresses to camouflage tuxedos, shotgun solutes and arriving at the reception on an ATV – anything goes, as long as it’s rowdy and redneck.
