 Server crash plays havoc on county employees paychecks web posted September 21, 2006 EDGEFIELD – An e-mail from Personnel Director Lee Ann Anderson was circulated to Edgefield County employees on Tuesday informing them that the County’s server for the County Finance Department and Payroll had crashed. Due to the crash of the server, employee checks would have to be written or typed and direct deposits would not be made. Hourly workers were said to only be paid for the hours they worked the previous week, with adjustments being made at a later date. However, one line in the e-mail had some employees questioning the contents of the e-mail. A copy of the e-mail was obtained by EdgefieldDaily.com which stated that, “No employee is to call this (Personnel Director Lee Ann Anderson’s) office,” in regards to the problems. To confuse employees further, the e-mail ended with this line, “If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me. Best regards, Lee Ann Anderson, Personnel Director.” For
