United Way of Edgefield County names new officers

web posted October 12, 2009
COUNTY – The United Way of Edgefield County Chairman Dean Campbell, left, thanks two retiring officers on the local United Way Board and welcomes their replacements. Ann Adams, who served as Secretary, and Dick Beals, who served as Treasurer, are both stepping down from their respective offices but are staying on the Board.  Together, they served as Executive Committee members for over 50 years.

Stepping into the roles are Dee McLane, Secretary, and David Tollison, Treasurer. (Pictured left)

“Ann and Dick have served this community proudly during their long tenures as Officers,” Campbell said.  “They have done outstanding work in their Officer positions, and I am honored that I had a chance to work with them.  I’m pleased we can still call on their vast knowledge since they are staying on the Board.

“Now, Dee and David begin their tenures as key officers on our Board.  They are talented and ready to serve. I look forward to their insights and direction as our local United Way moves forward to continue to help our communities.”
