  Local United Way kicks off fundraising web posted October 28, 2006  COUNTY
– The Edgefield County United Way got a huge boost to kick off their
fund raising drive this week. A check from the Savannah River Site
employees worth $62,232 was presented to Campaign Chairman Ken Durham
(L) and Co-chairman Dean Campbell (R). The local United Way is seeking
to raise
$95,000 during the fundraising period.In a press release Campaign Co-chairman Campbell said Edgefield County citizens are encourage to make a donation. The deadline for contributions is December 1. Persons wishing to contribute can mail their donations to the Untied Way at P.O. Box 72, Edgefield, SC, 29824. The release also concluded with a reminder to citizens, “Remember, thanks to you, it works for all of us.” For
