  Edgefield Daily Sheriff's Race Poll: Dobey 68% - Parkman 27% web posted October 30, 2012 COUNTY – In an unscientific poll conducted by Edgefield Daily last week, current Sheriff Adell Dobey showed a commanding lead over former Magistrate Davis Parkman by 41 points when the poll closed with over 500 respondents. 68% voted for Sheriff Dobey, 27% for Parkman, 4% were undecided and 2% voted for "other". These totals mimic actual election results when Sheriff Dobey is challenged in the past elections dating back to 2000. Edgefield Daily estimates the spread will be further apart with Sheriff Dobey earning at least 70% of the votes cast in the race next week. Comments that were allowed after voting in the poll had to be closed and removed due to the vile and slanderous comments from Parkman supporters. Edgefield Daily recognizes that Mr. Parkman has no control over what his supporters say publicly and is the reason the comments were closed and removed. Editor's note: Internet averages for readers who respond to polls is close to 1% or less. Those who voted could only vote once in the poll.
