 Edgefield County EMS “Holiday Helpers” reach out to aid the needy web posted November 26, 2008 COUNTY – The Edgefield County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) has teamed up once again with the Edgefield Bi-Lo in order to help ten families for Christmas. The Edgefield Bi-Lo will have a box set up for toy donations and another to help with providing the needy families with a Christmas dinner. A box for donations will also be available at the EMS Main Station on Star Road in Edgefield and the Merriwether main fire station on West Martintown Road near Big Stephens Creek Baptist Church. Each box will have a copy of the families “wish list” to aid in helping you bring happiness to a family that otherwise may not be as fortunate this Christmas season. The final collection of donations will take place on December 20 and then be sorted out and delivered to the families just before Christmas as was done last year.
