 Douglas Elementary Participates In Pennies For Patients Project web posted March 25, 2008 TRENTON – Douglas Elementary participated in Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Pennies for Patients raising over $600 for the cause. The students had the unique opportunity of making a difference in the lives of those battling blood cancers. More importantly they were able to experience the powerful feeling that comes along with giving to others who are having difficulties. The school raised $628.55 to show their support for those suffering with cancer. Mrs. Nicholson’s class raised the most money and received a Pizza Party along with a $50.00 gift card from Horace Mann Insurance. The school sends a special thanks to all students, supportive parents, teachers and staff of Douglas Elementary for making this fundraiser a wonderful success. ©
