Douglas Elementary Turns Into Reading Winter Wonderland

TRENTON – Douglas
Elementary transformed
their media center into a Winter Wonderland during the week of Dec.
14-18. As students entered the media center, they were greeted with an
animated Santa wishing them a "Merry Christmas." The media center was
set up with different winter scenes and literatures that featured
animated villages, characters, Santa, and snowmen that created excited
students wanting to read Christmas books that will take them on magical
seasonal adventures.
Eighteen guests from the school system and community were invited to
read a Christmas Book to individual classes. Books included Polar
Express, The Night Before Christmas, Corduroy's Christmas, The Giving
Tree, A Christmas Carol, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, as well as
many other contemporary fun Christmas stories.
