![]() Edgefield man to receive Here's Your Card recognition web posted January 12, 2007 EDGEFIELD – One thing is for certain, if you want to go to jail you will be obliged. EdgefieldDaily.com has awarded another Here’s Your Card due to a story out of Edgefield this past weekend. The setting; 3am on the 500 block of Brooks Street and an Edgefield Police Officer called to a disturbance. When he arrives he finds an 18 year-old woman sitting with two small children in her car at the home. The man causing the disturbance was in inside the home and she just wanted him to leave. The officer spoke to the man who said he would leave so the woman and the children could go to bed. He calmly began walking away down the street. As the officer was explaining the available resources available to the woman the man turned around and came back. Thus began the brilliant moves that landed him in jail. While the officer was talking to the woman the man began yelling and cursing at the woman. He then began kicking the woman’s car. All while the officer is standing right there. As the officer tried to calm the man he threatened to kick the police officer’s car as well. At that time Bobby Mack, 28, of Edgefield was arrested for disorderly conduct and booked into the Edgefield County Detention Center. As a tip to other potential Here’s Your Card recipients, do not break the law in front of the police and more so, do not threaten to damage a police car in front of the officer. For
