 Chocolate Celebration Scheduled for Downtown Edgefield web posted January 31, 2012 EDGEFIELD – The Edgefield Community Development Association will host the 6th Annual Downtown Choc-Around, Thursday, February 9th from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. The event is hosted as a celebration of the Valentine season and in an effort to bring locals and visitors together in the historic downtown for the evening. The Choc-Around has proven such a huge success that it has been brought back once again for 2012. The event features special chocolate treats as you move from business to business in the downtown district. Pick up your passport from any participating merchant and shop historic Edgefield as you sample the decadent treats featured in each shop. One lucky winner will receive a gift basket filled with special treats from participating businesses. Caroline Bland, owner of Mercy Me!, says she’ll offer store specials and Valentine treats for visitors in her shop. “We’ve recently picked up a new cookie line and will be sampling the chocolate dipped cookies!
