 Child molestation trial continues today web posted February 5, 2010 EDGEFIELD – The continuation of the child molestation trial of George Jones is scheduled to resume today and prosecutors say they expect the case to be handed to the jury by mid-afternoon. Jones’ defense attorney, Adrian Falgione, is expected to have Judge Keesley poll the jury as a result of EdgefieldDaily.com’s report of the trial on Wednesday in a possible effort to derail the trial. Judge Keesley made several admonishments to the jury advising them to avoid reading, listening, or watching any media reports on the trial when they were sworn in to judge the case. The Solicitor’s Office will finalize their case with expert witnesses before resting their case and turning the trial over to defense attorneys by midday Friday. Depending on the number of witnesses called for the defense, the case is expected to be turned over to the jury early in the afternoon. EdgefieldDaily.com is attending the trial and will have a full update on the case on Saturday.
