 Morris sentenced to 2 years in molestation case web posted February 16, 2010  EDGEFIELD – An accused child molester is
no longer accused after pleading guilty on one count of assault and
battery of a high and aggravated nature that stemmed from a September 17,
2007 incident involving a teenage boy in Johnston. Perry Craig
Morris, 55, was originally charged with criminal sexual conduct on
minor and assault with the intent to commit a lewd act on minor.After the plea agreement was worked out last week, Morris pleaded before Circuit Court Judge Thomas Russo who sentenced Morris to 8 years suspended to 2 years with 2 years of probation. All other charges were dismissed in exchange for the guilty plea. He will serve his prison time in the South Carolina Department of Corrections. © Copyright 2010
