Suspended Driver Arrested Again with Her Attempted Murder Suspect as
web posted February 16, 2013
EDGEFIELD – Just three weeks after Ashley
Knowles, 29, and her boyfriend, 34-year-old Timothy Brown, led
Edgefield Police in a 10-hour case that landed the couple in jail and
Brown being charged with Knowles attempted murder - they were on the
road again Thursday night. As an Edgefield Police Officer was pulling
out of the station's parking lot the same truck passed by with Knowles
behind the wheel and driving with a suspended license.
The officer conducted a traffic stop on the Town Square and approached
the vehicle and identified Knowles. According to an incident report,
Knowles admitted that she knew she was not supposed to be driving due
to her previous driving under suspension for DUI arrest weeks ago, but
stated the couple needed groceries.
Those groceries amounted to two bottles of wine, an 18-pack of beer,
and a pack of some type of meat.
In the passenger seat was her boyfriend, Brown, who was intoxicated, a
report states. Part of his bond condition for release on the attempted
murder was to have no contact with the victim, Knowles.
Knowles was arrested and charged with driving under suspension for DUI
2nd offense and transported to jail for booking.
Brown was given a ride to his home due to being too intoxicated to
drive. The truck, which belongs to his father, was secured and left in
a parking space on the square to be retrieved later.
It is unknown if Brown's bond will be revoked for violating the
conditions of bond.
