  7th Annual Shamrock Run/Walk March 16 in Edgefield web posted February 18, 2013  EDGEFIELD – The 7th Annual Shamrock 2.4
mile Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, March 16, 3013, with a race
time of 11 am. The event is being held in memory of Dr. Ned Nicholson
and Dr. W.G. "Curly" Watson and all proceeds will go the Edgefield
County Hospital Auxiliary. In addition to the race there will be events
on the Town Square including the "Leprechaun Lap" around the square for
the children, live music and more.Registration for the Run/Walk is now underway. Forms can be picked up at the Edgefield Town Hall or Escape Day Spa, both on Main Street in Edgefield. Registration forms will be available online at a later day. Cost of registration is $17 in advance (through March 7) and $20 thereafter or by 9 am on race day.  $50 prize money is awarded for the top
finishers of male and female
runners in the following categories:Elementary School student Middle School student High School Student Non-high school (18-29) 30-39 years of age 40-49 years of age 50-59 year of age 60+ year of age All entrants will receive a free T-shirt (as supplies last). No animals or bicycles allowed and there is no rain date. Starting line is at the Bi-Lo at 155 Carolina Square with the finish line at the entrance to the Edgefield Town Square.
