 4th Annual Shamrock Run\Walk March 13 web posted February 22, 2010 EDGEFIELD – The 4th Annual Shamrock Run is just around the corner and registration forms to participate are now available. This year’s event is being dedicated to the memory of Jeff Daniels and all proceeds will be donated to the American Heart Association. Kerry Klein, who organizes the event, said registration fees have been lowered this year to just $10 and cash prizes will be handed out to the top male and female participants in nine categories. Special prizes will also be available for the top finisher from Law Enforcement, NWTF employee, Best Irish Dressed, and the last runner\walker. The event will take place on March 13 and will begin at 11 am. Runners and walkers will start at the Bi-Lo on 155 Carolina Square and continue down Columbia Road to the Edgefield Town Square finish line completing the 2.4 mile trek. All participants will receive a free T-shirt. Registration forms are available at various Edgefield businesses, the Edgefield Town Hall, or can be downloaded here. Completed forms can be turned in, with check or money order for registration fee, to the Edgefield Town Hall, Escape Day Spa on Main Street, or mailed to: Shamrock Run – Town Of Edgefield 400 Main Street Edgefield, SC, 29824-1302 Registration is due by March 1, 2010.
